Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has cast his vote in today’s Clacton by-election, as the people of the constituency decide whether to return their Reform UK MP to Parliament.
Farage headed to the polling station this morning and later posted: “Three guesses who I voted for!”
The Reform UK leader called the by-election to give Clacton voters the opportunity to have their say following relentless attacks by the establishment against him, his family and those around him.
Farage said: “At the beginning of summer we called this by-election to give the people of Clacton the chance to have their say on the endless political attacks on me, my family and those around me.
“It’s given us the opportunity to knock on tens of thousands of doors, making the affirmative case for what I’ve done for the area, and what Reform will do for Britain.”
Farage said the contest was about more than his own future. “It’s not just about me,” he said. “It’s about the people versus the establishment.”
Farage faces 33 other candidates, but none of the mainstream parties decided to field candidates, knowing that they don’t stand a chance here.
Farage won Clacton in 2024 with 46.2% of the vote and a majority of 8,405. By electing Farage, the people of Clacton sent a clear message to Westminster that they were tired of the same old establishment politics.
Today, Clacton can make that message louder still. Every vote for Nigel Farage and Reform UK is a vote for putting the people first - and for the change that Britain desperately needs.
