Two crossed in small boats. One came in the back of a lorry. Reform would deploy the Royal Navy to stop illegal Channel crossings.

“Not one of them has been deported”: Zia Yusuf attacks Labour over convicted terrorists pouring into Britain
When will Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood acknowledge the danger she and her government are putting the people of this country in?

Seemingly, she never will. And her shameful reversal on Indefinite Leave to Remain this week will only encourage more foreign criminals and terrorists to keep breaking into our country.

As Reform UK Shadow Home Secretary Zia Yusuf has pointed out: “Last week Labour let 1,700 illegal migrants break into Britain in just four days. How many terrorists were amongst them?”

In the past year alone, we have seen a long list of dangerous individuals allowed into Britain by this Labour government. But this one might just top them all.

Reform UK Shadow Home Secretary Zia Yusuf highlighted one case in particular – that of Mohammed Yaseen, an Iraqi Al-Qaeda terrorist who entered the country illegally on a small boat last December and who was involved in the group that beheaded British contractor Ken Bigley in Iraq in 2004. After serving just six months of a two-year sentence in Britain for illegally entering the country, he was housed in taxpayer-funded accommodation in Windsor – with his food allowance paid for by us.

Only Reform will end the invasion for good

This is far from an isolated event.

Zana Abdul Rahman Rahim was jailed for seven and a half years in Italy for his role as spokesman and strategist for an ISIS-affiliated network that plotted to kidnap diplomats, including a British ambassador. Despite being banned from entering the UK, he managed to reach Dover from France in the back of a lorry this June.

An ISIS-linked terrorist, who had previously been deported and had plotted to kidnap a British ambassador, arrived illegally again in the back of a lorry this June, despite being subject to a UK-wide ban.

Another, Rebwar Hamad, broke into Britain for a second time on a small boat last September. He had already been convicted of terrorism offences in Italy and extradited there to serve his sentence.

Incredibly, “not one of them has been deported”, said Yusuf.

Under a Reform government, this will not be allowed to continue. Reform UK would deploy the Royal Navy in the English Channel to stop all boats crossing illegally, remove anyone on board, and return them to France.

Reform will also deport every migrant that has come here illegally, by boat or any other means. And a pause on all asylum claims for five years will stop cases like these from happening again.

“Only Reform will end the invasion for good”, said Yusuf. “We will take our country back.”
