These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Small Boat Watch mobile application, including the Stop the Boats game, leaderboard and associated services.
Please read these Terms before using the app.
By creating an account and using Small Boat Watch, you agree to these Terms.

References in these Terms to “Reform UK”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Reform UK Party Ltd.
Small Boat Watch is a political information and engagement application providing information about small-boat crossings of the English Channel together with interactive features, including the Stop the Boats game.
The app is currently available to users in the United Kingdom through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The app and game are provided free of charge.
Small Boat Watch uses information derived from the UK Government’s published “Migrants detected crossing the English Channel in small boats” statistics.
Crossing figures are automatically obtained from published Home Office data and periodically reconciled against the Home Office’s official time series.
We take reasonable steps to reproduce the published information accurately. However:
Where the underlying official data is subsequently revised, figures displayed in Small Boat Watch may also change.
Small Boat Watch may display statistics for periods corresponding with individual Prime Ministers or governments.
These figures represent the number of recorded crossings occurring during the relevant period in office. They do not, by themselves, establish that a particular individual personally caused or was solely responsible for those crossings.
The underlying crossing data currently extends back to 1 January 2018. Historical comparisons are therefore calculated from that date where the relevant period in office began earlier.
Any estimated financial figures displayed by the app are estimates based upon the methodology and cost assumptions identified within the app and should not be treated as official Government expenditure figures unless expressly stated otherwise.
You must create an account to use Small Boat Watch.

You may also choose to provide a telephone number and display name.
You are responsible for ensuring that information supplied through your account is accurate and that you do not allow another person to misuse your account or authentication credentials.
Authentication codes are personal to you and should not be shared.
You must not create accounts using another person’s details without their permission.
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account, play the game or participate in any competition or prize promotion operated through Small Boat Watch.
By creating an account, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
We may request reasonable evidence of age or eligibility where necessary, particularly before awarding a prize.
Stop the Boats is a skill-based arcade-style game.
The player controls a Royal Navy vessel and attempts to intercept dinghies before they reach the British shore.
A successfully intercepted dinghy scores a point. The player begins with three lives and loses a life when a dinghy reaches the shore. Gameplay becomes progressively more difficult.
The game ends when all available lives have been lost.
Completed scores may be recorded against your Small Boat Watch account and used to determine leaderboard positions.
The game is a fictionalised political game. It should not be interpreted as representing actual Royal Navy operations, Government policy or operational procedures relating to small-boat crossings.
Small Boat Watch may operate a public leaderboard.
Leaderboard rankings are based upon qualifying scores recorded by the service during the applicable leaderboard period.

Your email address, telephone number and postcode will not be displayed on the public leaderboard.
You must not use a display name which:
We reserve the right to remove, alter or disable a display name which breaches these requirements.
Scores must result from genuine gameplay by the registered player.
You must not:
We may investigate unusual scores or activity.
Where we reasonably believe that a score has resulted from cheating, manipulation, technical exploitation or a breach of these Terms, we may remove the score, disqualify the player, suspend the account or take other proportionate action.
From time to time, Reform UK may offer a prize to eligible players based upon leaderboard performance.
Where a prize is offered, the specific prize, competition period and any additional significant conditions will be displayed in the app before or at the point of participation.
Unless otherwise stated:
The app currently uses fixed leaderboard periods which may run for approximately 30 days. The exact opening and closing date/time applicable to a prize will be stated when that prize is offered.
The nature and value of each prize will be clearly stated when the relevant competition is promoted.
Where a cash prize is offered, the amount stated for that competition will be the maximum amount payable to the verified winner.
We will contact a provisional winner using the contact details associated with their Small Boat Watch account.
The provisional winner must complete any reasonable eligibility and score-verification process before the prize is awarded.
If:
we may disqualify that entry and offer the prize to the next highest eligible verified player.
Where two or more eligible players achieve the same highest score, we will apply the tie-break mechanism stated in the applicable competition information. We will not introduce a tie-break mechanism retrospectively which unfairly disadvantages participants.
Unless otherwise stated, prizes are personal to the winner and cannot be transferred.
Any tax liability arising from receipt of a prize is the responsibility of the winner where applicable.
We reserve the right to withhold a prize temporarily while reasonably investigating suspected cheating, manipulation, fraud or a material technical error.
We will not withhold a legitimately won prize without reasonable grounds.
If a technical failure materially affects the integrity or fairness of a competition, we may suspend the affected competition while the issue is investigated.
We will only cancel, amend or extend a prize competition where reasonably necessary because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control or where continuing it would be unlawful, materially unfair or technically impossible.
Where practicable, affected participants will be informed of any material change.
You may choose to receive notifications from Small Boat Watch, including crossing updates and information relating to the service.
Push notifications are optional and can be disabled through the app or your device settings.
We do not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered or delivered at a particular time.
The app may allow you to generate and share Small Boat Watch content using your device’s native sharing functionality.
You are responsible for where and how you choose to share that content and for complying with the rules of any third-party platform you use.
You must not alter Small Boat Watch content in a way which falsely suggests that Reform UK or another person has made a statement they did not make.
You must not use Small Boat Watch:
Small Boat Watch, its software, branding, design, graphics, game elements and original content are owned by or licensed to Reform UK and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app in accordance with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property to you.
Official Government information used within the service remains subject to any applicable Crown copyright and licensing arrangements.
Small Boat Watch relies upon third-party technology and services, including app stores, hosting providers, email delivery services and push-notification infrastructure.
Your use of Apple or Google’s app stores and device services may also be governed by their own terms.
We are not responsible for third-party services which are outside our reasonable control.
We aim to keep Small Boat Watch available and functioning correctly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We may:
We will take reasonable steps to avoid changes which unfairly affect an active prize competition.
We may release Small Boat Watch without the game or remove the game functionality without affecting the availability of the statistical information service.
We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that:
Where appropriate, we will act proportionately and may provide an opportunity for the user to contact us about the decision.
You may close your account at any time using the account deletion facility where available or by contacting us.
Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Small Boat Watch Privacy Notice, available through the app.
The Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we retain it and your data protection rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Small Boat Watch is provided primarily for political information, engagement and entertainment.
While reasonable care is taken in operating the service, we do not guarantee that:
Nothing within Small Boat Watch constitutes legal, financial or other professional advice.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms.
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect:
Material changes will be brought to users’ attention where appropriate.
We will not retrospectively change the rules of an active prize competition in a manner which unfairly disadvantages participants, except where necessary to comply with law or address circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory rights available under the laws applicable where you live.
Nothing in these Terms restricts any statutory rights concerning where proceedings may lawfully be brought.
